Out of 7.7 million U.S. College students, an average of 526,000 experience violent crimes such as: robbery, false imprisonment, kidnap, aggravated assault, domestic violence, rape and acquaintance rape according to the U.S. Department of Justice at http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/pub/pdf/vvcs00.pdf.

That is approximately 1,441 victims per day and 60 students per hour in America. Even the U.S. National authorities are also reviewing safety measures on campuses like never before.
